Where Is Somerley House?

Somerley House is located in Sutton Forest in the Southern Highlands. The address is 7207 Illawarra Hwy, Sutton Forest.

Where Can I Stay In The Southern Highlands?

There are plenty of beautiful accommodation options in the area—check out Urban List for ideas. Peppers Manor House is the closest hotel to Somerley House. If you’d prefer to book an Airbnb, Moss Vale and Exeter are the closest villages.

What Is The Dress Code?

The dress code is black tie. We’re getting dressed up and we’d love for you to too. Think Frank Sinatra, Casino Royale, dinner jackets, bow ties, and floor-length gowns in fabrics like silk, satin, and chiffon. But don’t overthink it—we are here to have fun after all.

What Will The Weather Be Like?

During the day, Sutton Forest in April is typically a very pleasant 22 degrees. At night, the temperature can drop to around 10 degrees, so we recommend bringing something warm to put on after the sun sets if you tend to feel the cold.

Where Will The Ceremony And Reception Take Place?

Our ceremony, reception, dinner, and dancing will all be held at Somerley House. All you need to do is arrive and settle in for a great night. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside in the gardens, weather permitting. Reception and dancing will be indoors.

Transport: How Do We Get To And From Somerley House?

Coach

We have organised a dedicated coach service that can pick you up from your accommodation and take you home at the end of the night. Please let us know if you would like a seat on the coach when you RSVP.

Taxis

If you would prefer to arrange your own taxi, we recommend booking ahead of time as the Southern Highlands is a busy wedding destination with limited taxis available.

Driving

If you would prefer to drive to Somerley House, please let us know when you RSVP as there is limited parking on site. Parking is free, of course.

Uber

We don’t recommend relying on Uber as there will likely be limited drivers in the Southern Highlands.

What Time Should I Arrive At Somerley House?

Please arrive at 3pm. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3.20pm.

Are Children Welcome?

With the exception of our ring bearer, our wedding will be an adults-only party so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving your little ones at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I Bring A Plus One?

We love meeting new friends. Your email invite will note if you have been allocated a plus one. If you are unsure, please reach out to Josh or Sammy.

Is There A Gift Registry?

We are incredibly thankful to have everything we need. Instead of a traditional registry, we have created a digital wishing well for our honeymoon.

We are most of all grateful for your presence on our special day, but if you would like to contribute, you can do so here.

Will Dietaries Be Catered For At Dinner?

Yes. Our menu will be entirely gluten-free and coeliac-friendly. For other dietary restrictions, please let us know in your RSVP so our chef can accommodate you.

Is There A Rehearsal Dinner?

We will be hosting a low-key rehearsal dinner at The Burrawang Village Hotel on Friday 19 April from 6pm. All are welcome. If you are staying for the weekend and would like to join us, please let us know when you RSVP so that we can include you in the booking.

When Do I Need To RSVP?

Please RSVP by Saturday 20 January 2024. We will be in touch with a reminder to RSVP in early January if we haven’t heard from you.
